What should I know before I order?

- Set Up an Automatic Subscription: Opt for an automatic subscription to receive your meals without the hassle of remembering to order each time. Plus, enjoy a 10% discount on each subsequent delivery.
- Stay Alert for Cut-off Reminders: If you prefer ordering meal-by-meal, make sure to watch for our cut-off reminders so you never miss a delivery.
- Recycle your packaging: Help us minimize our carbon footprint! All components of our packaging — insulation, cardboard boxes, and meal sleeves are recyclable. If you don't plan to reuse the ice packs, they are drain-safe: simply empty the contents and recycle the sleeve. Together, we can make a difference!
- You're in Control: Order as many or as few meals as you like — there are no minimum requirements. However, enjoy perks like free delivery and packaging on orders of six or more meals within our local delivery area. For orders of ten or more meals within our extended area, you'll receive half-price shipping and free packaging. Tailor your order to perfectly suit your needs and take advantage of these great benefits!
- Review Your First Order: If you're subscribing, take a moment to review your choices after each automatic order. Remember, you can make changes, additions, or removals any time before the cut-off.

Do I have to create a subscription?
Nope! At Meels, we're all about giving you the ultimate freedom and flexibility. Think of us as the partner you wish was just a tad more clingy. With Meels, you have complete control over your orders — you can place a one-time order or opt for a subscription, whichever suits your needs.
When you choose a one-time order, that's exactly what you get: no unexpected bills or surprise deliveries in the future.
If you decide on a subscription, not only is it super easy to cancel, modify, add, remove, or pause your plan anytime from our website with just a click of a button, but you'll also enjoy a 10% discount off each weekly order. It's convenience plus savings, all in one!
How do you deliver?
Once you hit "Submit Order" your card will be charged, and your order will officially be placed. You can track the status of your pending orders and their details by navigating to "My Account."
Your meals are freshly prepared and carefully packed in our insulated boxes. We partner with a delivery service called WEELS (yes, we know, very creative ) to ensure your food reaches you on the selected day, perfectly temperature-controlled until it's picked up by the courier.
For those outside our local delivery area, we ship via UPS. Our robust packaging is designed to keep your meals cool for up to two days during shipping, plus an additional 12 hours at your doorstep. Once your order is on its way, we'll send you an email with tracking information, which you can also find under "My Orders" after logging into "My Account."
Not home when your meals arrive? No worries! The carrier will leave your box right at your door. If you live in an apartment, it might be placed in the lobby, with the concierge, or in the mail area. Remember to refrigerate your meals as soon as you can. Enjoy your delicious, hassle-free meals!
Are all of my meals delivered the same day?
Yes, all the meals in your order will be delivered together on your chosen delivery day. Be sure to refrigerate the meals as soon as they arrive, although you can freeze some to extend their shelf life. We recommend enjoying them fresh for the best taste.
Can I gift meels to someone?
Absolutely! We offer e-gift cards that you can quickly send to friends and family. Just head over to our "
Buy Gift Cards" page, choose the amount you want to gift and complete your purchase.
The recipient will receive an email with a unique Gift Card Code. Instead of redeeming the gift card, they can use this code directly at checkout to apply the gift amount to their order. If they're not already a part of the Meels family, they'll need to create an account to place their order, but it's quick and easy!
If you want to keep the gift a surprise, enter your own email address when purchasing and share the code with the recipient whenever you choose.

What are cut-off times and when are they?
Since all our meals are prepared fresh, we require approximately 3 days to plan, prep, cook, and pack. This means that each delivery menu has a specific cut-off time by which your order must be placed or modified.
The cut-off time for placing or modifying orders is every Monday at 12 PM (noon).
Every week, we prepare extra portions of our most popular dishes. You can purchase these from our "After-Cut-off Menu" as long as they are available. These items tend to sell out quickly, so act fast if you find them available past the cut-off time! If you don't see an "After Cut-off Menu," it means all extra items are sold out, and orders from that menu are no longer possible.
Please note, if you want two deliveries in one week, you'll need to place separate orders for each specific delivery day, making sure to do so by the cut-off time of Monday at noon.
We'll also send you a reminder via SMS 24 hours before the cut-off and an email 2-3 hours before, though you can opt-out of these notifications if you prefer.
Can I freeze my meals?
We recommend enjoying your Meels as they are delivered to fully appreciate the fresh ingredients in each meal. However, if you're unable to eat everything within 7 days, you can also freeze the meals for later enjoyment.
How do I heat my meals?
We handle all the prepping and cooking, so all you need to do is reheat and enjoy! Typically, microwaving takes about 2-3 minutes, but if you're unsure, start with 2 minutes and continue heating in 30-second increments until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Before heating, be sure to remove any sauce containers.
Prefer to use an oven? No problem, just follow these simple steps:
- Peel back the film on the container. (do not heat with the film)
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Place the meels container on an oven-safe dish before placing it in the oven. (Do not place the container directly on the oven rack).
- Heat for 10-35 minutes. Remember, these times are approximate; ensure the internal meal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Let it cool for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Transfer to a plate, bowl, or enjoy directly from the container!
Pro tip: Our favorite heating method is an
Anova Precision Oven — 9 minutes at 350°F with 30% steam. This technique perfectly enhances the flavors and textures of your meal.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver all over the place! ? Truly, we strive to reach anyone we can within a next-day delivery framework.
For local deliveries, we use WEELS. If you're outside our local delivery zone, don't worry — UPS steps in to ensure your meals arrive fresh and delicious.
Here's a quick rundown of our local delivery areas, starting from Markham:
- Westward up to London, including key cities like Waterloo and Cambridge.
- Eastward to Bowmanville.
- North up to Barrie.
- All across the Greater Toronto Area.
For those residing further away, we service the rest of Canada using UPS and special 48-hour tested insulation, guaranteeing your food remains fresh upon arrival.
Do you use Organic/Non-GMO ingredients?
Our menu features both organic and conventionally grown ingredients, with detailed ingredient lists available on each recipe's detail page or food container label.
In our commitment to fostering a more sustainable food ecosystem, we also partner with transitional organic farms working towards USDA Organic certification. Historically, this transition has been challenging for farmers due to its cost and labor intensity. Through this collaboration, we aim to facilitate the transition to organic agriculture, making it more accessible for all involved.
While we're not certified organic/non-GMO, our meals are crafted without processed sugars and artificial ingredients.
How do you keep your food fresh?
We're about to drop some science on you, hope you don't mind.
To ensure our meals stay super fresh during transit, we use modified atmospheric packaging. This involves adjusting the internal atmosphere of the meals to extend their shelf life by 200% or more compared to regular packaging in air.
This process reduces the oxygen level, which slows the growth of aerobic organisms and the rate of oxidation reactions. It's completely safe and allows our meals to endure up to 60 hours of travel and delivery time without the need for preservatives. Plus, insulation and non-toxic gel packs keep the meals cool until they reach your fridge.
Just a heads up, it's normal if your gel packs arrive partially melted! Your meals should still be cool to the touch.
Is your packaging environmentally friendly?
Yes, we're committed to minimizing our environmental footprint wherever possible. Our boxes, plastic meal containers, and cardboard sleeves are all recyclable. Even the gel ice packs are drain-safe, and their plastic bags are recyclable too.
How many meals should I order?
The number of meals you should order depends on your personal preferences, dietary needs, and schedule. Here are a few factors to consider:
- Frequency of Meals: Determine how many meals you need per day and how often you plan to eat Meels. Some people prefer three meals a day, while others may enjoy smaller, more frequent meals.

Do you offer keto meals?
Although we do not offer meals specifically tailored to certain diets, many of our meals can fit within a keto-friendly diet. Please double-check each specific meal to ensure it aligns with your program.
We tag meals we believe are keto-friendly as 'Keto Friendly'. You can sort the menu by this preference to see what is available.
What do we consider as Keto Friendly?
We base Keto on a 50 net carb per day allowance. We tag meals that contain between 10-15 net carbs. (Net carbs meaning carbs minus fiber).
What is an after-cut-off menu?
After-cut-off menus are available after a menu is no longer active. Every week, we add extras of our most popular dishes just in case you miss the cut-off time! Once sold out, these meals are no longer available for purchase on the after-cut-off menu.
As these meals are limited quantities, they sell fast. Be sure to act quickly!
If you don't see any interesting options, or there are simply not enough options left, be sure to choose a different delivery day to see the next full menu that is available.
